Who are “Medopad“

Medopad is a company that provides mobile Apps to health and wellness teams across the UK and internationally to help members seamlessly connect to their personal data and share information about their wellness journey progression at home, with their personal coach.

Why is it useful

The App will:

  • Bring all your information, reports, activities, actions and competitions into one central location - to facilitate your experience of the Ultimate Wellness Journey at Vita Coco.

  • Bring your vital data into the form of graphs to show your trends over time.

  • With employee and coach view - know that your data inputs are guided, supported and shared with a professional with expertise.

When to use

Use it as much as you wish to track your health, engage with your coach, and participate in regular surveys and challenges with your colleagues on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Who has access to my data

Your coaches can log into a secure coach portal to review your data at any time. Only coaches in the team looking after you can see your information and you can choose who your data is shared with at anytime in the app, by ticking and unticking. No one at Medopad or Vita Coco will see the contents of any sections you complete.  Anonymised group data is used to report group trends.

How to set up your profile

  1. Open your profile

    1. For iOS, click on the profile tab present at the bottom of your screen

    2. For Android, click the 3 dots in the top righthand corner of your screen

  2. Input your full name, biological sex and date of birth.

    1. It is important that this information matches your records as this is how your coaches will be able to identify you

Apple Health / Google fit access

When you log in for the first time after confirming your activation via email, confirmation pages may pop up asking for access to your phone’s inbuilt data collection programs - Apple Health on iOS or Google Fit on Android.

On iOS please select ‘Turn All Categories On’, all the sliders below should then go green.

On Android please allow access to Google Fit

This will enable the app to use your phone’s inbuilt sensors to collect data such as steps for your coaches to review.

How to view your care providers

  1. Open Care Providers

    1. For iOS, underneath your details, click on the section that says Care Providers. 

    2. For Android, on the top right click on the three vertical dots (circled in red in image below). 

  2. Ensure you are happy with the Care Providers selected - ticking a Care Provider enables them to view your data, if these are unticked that person will not be able to view your data

    1. If you do not recognise any names listed please ask your coach team directly

  3. Once this has been completed you are fully registered, the app is ready to be used

Your activities modules

Reaction time

During the test you should shake your smartphone in any direction as soon as a coloured spot appears on the screen, testing your reaction time. The time will be automatically saved.

Two finger tapping interval

This tests how quickly can you 2-finger tap with your right and then your left hand. The test takes 20 seconds for each hand and tapping as many times as possible using your index and middle finger.


Your competitions just got easier to track. Visually record you and your team's healthy habits and score points. Add comments.


Extra points for posting video of your healthy habits like walking meetings, lunchtime runs, breathing breaks and Shape Break movement at work. More points for videos of your team doing healthy habits together.

My Journal

This is your personal diary, where you can write about your experiences, thoughts or feelings. It can also be handy to keep notes of anything you want to talk about with your team at your next appointment. You may be able to use the microphone on your phone’s keyboard for speech-to-text. Your team do not regularly check this area, so please do not use it in medical emergencies.

Your dashboard

The dashboard is where you can find all the information you have entered in each activity. The information will be shown in a graph format so both you and your coaches can have a quick and clear view of any changes. Using the timeline bar the graphs can show your information in weeks, months or years.  


Keep moving! Being as active as you can will have a great impact on how you feel. Your smartphone will record your daily steps whilst you are carrying it with you, and you can log into the app regularly to look at your count.

Heart rate

If you have an Apple Watch, track your heart rate through your Medopad App. Your Apple Watch is connected to your Apple Healthkit on your phone, which Medopad will automatically sync with when you select to ‘turn on all categories’ when you first set-up your account. Please note, on first connecting the Apple Watch, it’s data will not appear in the Dashboard, but the data will shortly appear in the app, for sure, the next time the app is launched.

Your learn section

The Learn section on your app brings all your information, reports, activities, actions and competitions into one central location.

  • Why do I need an access code?

Our app is programme specific, so is only accessible to those in that programme.

  • How do I reset my password?

1. Open the app to the home screen, where you usually insert your username and password.

2. At the bottom of the page there is a link that says 'register/reset password'.

3. Click on this link and it will allow you to reset your password using the email address you registered your account with.

  • I’m trying to log in but the log in button is greyed out. What should I do?

If you have only just registered an account, make sure you activate your account first.

If you have logged in before, check your email/password, as it may not meet the basic requirements. Your email needs an @ before the email provider name. Your password should be a minimum of 8 characters.

  • How will my information be shared globally for research?

By ticking the box to share your information globally, only your anonymous data may be shared for research and only at the discretion of your coaches.

  • Who has access to my data?

Your coaching team can log into a secure portal to review your data at any time. Only your coaches can see your personal information and you can choose who your data is shared with at anytime in the app. 

  • How do I know if my device supports medopad?

You will need any Android device or an iPhone with an iOS version of 9 or above. An iPhone 4 or earlier will not be able to support iOS 9 or above and so you will not be able to run Medopad on an iPhone 4 or earlier.

  • Does anyone read my journal?

Yes. Your coach has access to the information you write in your journal and they can check it on a frequent basis. However, this section is not monitored 24/7, so if you wish to discuss something urgently or have a medical emergency, please contact your doctor or contact your coach.
