What is the Medopad app used for?

The Medopad app is a remote monitoring platform for patients like you. Between appointments, your care team will have near real-time access to your health information when you complete the activities on the app. This helps keep your care team informed of your progress. Please be aware that your care team doesn’t monitor the app 24/7. If you have any urgent concerns please contact them via your usual means.

Can anyone use the Medopad app?

Currently, the Medopad app is clinic-specific. You can only access the app if your care team has signed up to use Medopad. If you are interested to learn more about what Medopad does, please contact support@medopad.com 

Who sees my data?

Only the care team which you have selected during the consent process, and a select number of Medopad staff known as GDPR super users will have access to your health data. Health data is the sort of information you would usually share with your doctor such as test results, medication notes or physiological data. GDPR super users will only access these records on a need-to-know basis, such as responding to information access requests.

Some other staff within Medopad may have access to personal data such as email and phone number. This does not include your health data, and is used for purposes such as customer support.

Medopad app help questions

Do I need an activation code to use the app?

To register on the Medopad app you will need an activation code. You can find the 8-digit number in the registration instructions that will be shared with you via email, leaflets or letter. The activation code ensures you are using the app your care team designed specifically for you. Please don’t share this code with anyone.

I haven’t received an activation email or SMS text.

You can register your account with Medopad using either your email address or mobile phone number. Please ensure that you type your email address or phone number correctly. You will then receive an activation email or SMS text. If you can’t find an email from Medopad in your inbox, please check your spam or junk box. If you continue to experience issues please contact our support team at Medopad.

Do I need internet access to use the app?

You need internet access via your phone data or wifi to complete any activities on the app. If you are offline or lose internet connection you won’t be able to submit your activities. Please bear in mind that any data that hasn’t been uploaded to the app won’t be stored, so you will need to repeat the activities.

I can’t access my account

If you have logged out of the app, please follow the steps below: Open the Medopad app Select ‘I already have an account’ Login using the same email address or phone number you had initially registered your account with You will receive an activation email or SMS text, with the link or verification code You should now be logged in If you are still having difficulties accessing the app, please contact support@medopad.com.

What if I don’t want to use the app or don’t have a smartphone?

The app provides your care team with additional information they would not otherwise have, but your usual care will not be affected if you choose not to use the app. If you have been using the app but no longer wish to, please let your care team know.

Medopad Customer Support

The Medopad support team provides technical assistance for the app. Our app does not work as a communication system between you and your care team. If you have any health-related issues please contact your care team using your normal communication means outside of the app.

The Learn section on our app has useful info, links and videos. These are chosen by your care team to help you know more about your health and condition.

Help your care team identify who you are by making sure to fill in all the details and ensuring that they are up to date and accurate.

Registration and General App Help

There is no live monitoring of data uploaded to Medopad. If you have a medical emergency please contact the emergency services.

Registration Walkthrough

  1. Select ‘Create Account’

  2. Click on ‘I have a code’ and enter your Activation code

  3. Enter your full legal name

  4. You can choose to register using your mobile number or your email address

If you select Mobile number,

  • Enter mobile number and select country
  • You will receive an SMS message with a verification code, enter this code to activate your account

If you select Email address,

  • Enter email address
  • In your email account you will have an email from no-reply@medopad.com. Open the email and click on the blue “Activate” link which will automatically open and log you into the Medopad app

I did not receive my verification message/email

Try clicking the resend code button before trying the steps below:

  1. Uninstall and reinstall the Medopad app
  2. Select 'I have an account'
  3. Login into the app using the email address or phone number you registered with
  4. You should receive a verification email or text message on your phone
  5. Select the link on the email/message, this should take you to the app

What to do if I have a Medical Emergency?

If you need to speak to someone about a medical condition immediately please use your care teams contact number, or contact the emergency services on 999.
